Linking Your Real Brokerage

Import your actual holdings from any brokerage via Plaid.

Why Link Your Brokerage?

TickerTrust works best when it knows what you actually own. By linking your brokerage account via Plaid, your real holdings appear in Portfolio, Dashboard, and Analysis — so every TrustScore, risk metric, and AI insight is based on your real positions, not hypothetical ones.

Plaid supports over 12,000 financial institutions including Fidelity, Schwab, Vanguard, Robinhood, E*TRADE, and more. The connection is read-only — we never place trades or move money.

How to Link

Go to Settings > Connection and click "Link Bank or Brokerage." Select your institution, log in with your credentials, and choose which accounts to share. Your holdings sync automatically within seconds.

  • Your holdings appear in Portfolio with a "LINKED" badge to distinguish from paper trades.
  • The Dashboard shows your combined total (paper + brokerage).
  • TrustAI can analyze your real portfolio when you ask "analyze my portfolio."
  • Risk metrics (VaR, Sharpe, drawdown) calculate using your actual positions.
  • Price alerts are auto-created for your linked holdings (-10% and +15%).

Real Portfolio Tab

The Trade page now has a "Real Portfolio" tab that shows only your brokerage holdings — separate from paper trades. Each holding links directly to the Analysis page for a full TrustScore breakdown.

Click "Sync" on any linked institution in Settings to refresh your holdings with the latest data from your broker.

Key Takeaways

  • Link any brokerage via Plaid for read-only access to your real holdings.
  • Holdings appear everywhere: Portfolio, Dashboard, Risk, TrustAI, and Analysis.
  • Your data is encrypted and we never initiate transactions.
  • Auto-created price alerts keep you informed about your real positions.
